About Hypnotherapy

What Is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is an entirely natural state that we all experience every day. It is that deeply relaxed state that we enter into just before we fall asleep and immediately on waking. Other naturally occurring hypnotic states include daydreaming or being completely immersed in a book or a TV programme.

Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness characterised by profound physical relaxation with an associated mental focus – it is not sleep.

What Is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Clinical Hypnotherapy is the process of utilising this very natural and pleasant hypnotic state within a therapeutic framework. Acting as a conduit between our conscious and subconscious mind, hypnotherapy facilitates beneficial change in our thoughts and our behaviour patterns, thereby enabling desired goals to be achieved.

    Testimonials

    Fear of Heights
"Just wanted to email and say a big Thank you to you. We had a great time skiing and felt so much more at ease. I still felt scared at times when it got steep but I was able to be in control and rationalise and just go careful and get down. A big improvement from the tears and going down on my bum last year!"

    Stop Smoking
"I just wanted to drop you a little e-mail to say thank you. Tomorrow, will be two weeks and I feel GREAT...!!!! I can breath better, I am less tired, I don't smell, I have got more money... The list goes on and on but life just feels so good without the cigarettes. I get the odd moment when I think twice but I remember all the things that are better now I have stopped and most importantly what you said to me before I left.." Remember...If you smoke now it is because you are making a concious decision to be a smoker." That means my bad habit in the past of " just one more won't hurt" has gone out the window. I honestly can not thank you enough. I'm not thinking too much about the future yet. I take each moment as it comes but I really do think that I will be a non smoker for the rest of my life now...!"
